By utilizing our D-PINS (Inertial Position Reference Sensor) in conjunction with your existing systems you can effectively eliminate this outage time. When DGPS and/or Acoustics drop offline our system provides highly accurate and reliable position reference data to the DP desk thus allowing valuable time to bring your systems back online. Using the combined data of both DGPS and Acoustics with our inertial navigation system you will provide critical redundancy for your dynamic positioning operations. D-PINS is not affected by the external issues such as signal degradation from multipath or noise interference within acoustic positioning systems.

 

Our inertial position reference sensors provide the same precision as DGPS and Acoustics while incorporating highly accurate heading and attitude data. Training and system integration is extremely easy. Our position reference sensor system can be installed and operated offline while offering the DP operator the ability to compare real time DGPS and Acoustic data. Once the DP operator is comfortable with the system it can be brought online like any other DP system.
