As the depth of offshore operations increases and the amounts invested into subsea structures continue to increase, it has become increasingly critical for ROV positioning to be as precise as possible. Zupt’s inertial solutions can be coupled with traditional acoustic positioning equipment to further increase precision and efficiency of ROV navigation. Improving the precision of ROV positioning not only protects important assets in the field, but allows for more efficient operations as ROVs are able to maneuver around tighter and deeper spaces.
Sparse LBL – Eliminate the need to deploy full Long Baseline (LBL) arrays with Zupt’s sparse LBL solution. Zupt’s C-PINS works with as little as two LBL transponders to deliver the same precision as a full LBL array, reducing deployment time and costs for our clients.
Clean USBL – While Ultra short Baseline (USBL) is an additional alternative to costly full LBL arrays, this method is highly susceptible to noise and other factors that decrease the accuracy and reliability of the survey data acquired. Zupt’s C-PINS can be paired with our customers’ existing systems to acquire more accurate data while allowing USBL systems to maintain reliability in increased water depths.
